Call Screening

 

This tab allows you to define a list of rules for handling incoming calls to this account. It is only available when Call Screening check box is selected on the Service Configuration tab.

 

Field Description

From

Allows you to select a condition applicable to an incoming phone number (phone number of a person trying to contact you). Click on the column header with the corresponding rule to invoke the wizard, which will enable you to define a new rule or change an existing one.

To

Allows you to select a condition applicable to a dialed phone number (one of your phone numbers that a person trying to contact you).

Time Window

Allows you to select a condition applicable to the time when a call is made.

Action

Specifies which actions should be taken if a particular phone call satisfies the conditions for this rule.

Off

Allows you to temporarily disable a rule without actually deleting it (so it can be used later on).
